The hood (2) has a radial fan (4) blowing air outwardly in a radial direction and sucking air in an axial direction. The radial fan comprises air vanes (6) arranged concentric around a rotation axis (R). Air flow spaces at upper and lower ends of the air vanes are limited with motor-side and suction-side covering plates (10, 12). The motor-side covering plate comprises a countersink unit (16) protruded in the axial direction in a middle area of the covering plates. A motor (14) is arranged partially in the countersink unit.
