The method involves conveying fluid (34) into a porous body (28) by evacuation of the porous body and filling pores of the porous body with the fluid such that a fluid-filled body is formed. Measurement values are received, and thermal transportation magnitude of the fluid-filled body is determined from the received measurement values. A thermal total transportation magnitude of the fluid-filled body is determined from the received measurement values. The thermal transportation magnitude is determined from the thermal total transportation magnitude. An independent claim is also included for a transportation magnitude measurement device.
