The drive device (1) has an electric motor which is brought in operational engagement with the adjustable portion of the vehicle, through the gear boxes (4,5,7). A ring gear designed as gear box (5) is mounted rotatably and concentrically to the bearing support (22), and is formed on the housing projecting into the housing of bearing support. The bearing support has an axial opening which is suitable for the passage of an emergency actuating device.
