The device (13) has two pairs of rollers (22,33) for guiding an endless belt twisted at 180[deg] at idle portion between the rollers. A guide unit (46) with a turning portion (73) is provided so that a guide of one sheet transported along the transport path (36) is performed. The turning portion crosses the transport path for supporting the turning movement of the sheet. The turning movement of sheet is supported by the guide unit such that higher angular velocity of turning movement is achieved.
