Process for producing a noise-reducing damping layer and a further layer arranged on the damping layer for a roadway, in which process, in a first step, either - a layer of elastic granules and at least one layer of bitumen or another binder are applied separately using at least two devices in succession in the installation direction to form the damping layer, or - a mixture of bitumen or another binder and elastic granules is applied as the damping layer using a suitable device, and in a second step, which follows after a short interval, the further layer of the roadway superstructure is built over the damping layer, and device for carrying out the process.
