The filtration device has a filtration module (12) that includes several hollow fiber membranes (30), and a central permeate pipe (20) around which the hollow fiber membranes are distributed at equal intervals. The hollow fiber membranes are fluidly connected with the inner space (22) of central permeate pipe. An aerator is provided below the filtration module for supplying the gas. An independent claim is included for a method for filtration of filtration medium using a filtration device.
