Brick made of a mixture of loam and hollow plant stems, is claimed. The brick is prepared by e.g.: (a) initially positioning a first layer of a loam-mixture having acidic cream-like consistency in a rectangular mold; (b) placing a second layer of straw over first layer and mixing by hard stamping under a pressure to obtain a layer of loam-straw-mixture; (c) placing the first layer of a loam-mixture having acidic cream-like consistency on the layer of loam-straw-mixture; (d) placing a layer of hollow plant stalks on the resulting layer and mixing by tamping under a pressure. Brick made of a mixture of loam and hollow plant stems, is claimed. The brick is prepared by: (a) initially positioning a first layer of a loam-mixture having acidic cream-like consistency in a rectangular mold; (b) placing a second layer of straw over first layer and mixing by hard stamping under a pressure to obtain a layer of loam-straw-mixture; (c) placing the first layer of a loam-mixture having acidic cream-like consistency on the layer of loam-straw-mixture; (d) placing a layer of hollow plant stalks on the resulting layer and mixing by tamping under a pressure; (e) repeating the steps (a) to (d) until the mold fills completely; and (f) hardening the material in the mold, removing the mold, and drying the molded brick, where dried stalks of reeds or bullrush are used as the hollow plant stems and the hard stamping takes place at a pressure, which is smaller than a pressure required for hard stamping of the dried stalks of the reeds or bullrush, when it is sequential carried out.
