Tool (10) for producing fiber-reinforced components, preferably fiber preforms (16) and/or fiber composite components from semifinished products, comprises at least one tool part (12, 14) having at least one cavity surface (17), comprising a heating- and/or cooling device for controlling the temperature of the components, a base body (13, 15) and at least one temperature-controlled tool element, whose surface at least regionally forms the cavity surface of the corresponding tool part. Independent claims are also included for: (1) the fiber-reinforced component, preferably the fiber preform or the fiber composite component, which is associated with at least one semifinished-element that is formed as a temperature regulating element, using which a semifinished product, which is used for producing the component, is thermally supplied to the tool or is discharged from the tool during the production of the component; and (2) producing the fiber-reinforced component, preferably the fiber preform and/or the fiber composite component, comprising introducing a component of semifinished product together with at least one semifinished-element and/or a removable tool insert into a tool, and producing the component in the tool, where during the production of the component, the component of the semifinished product is supplied thermally into the tool or is discharged from the tool using the semifinished-element and/or the removable tool insert.
