The conveyor belt has stress-strain characteristics, which enables to elongate the belt in an elastic manner by creating tension after the mounting of the belt on the support rollers of a conveyor frame over a clamping station. The belt is tightened in the curve with the smallest curve radius on its curve inner side such that no folds or waves are formed. The traction tension force remains in the belt that prevents sagging of the conveyor belt of more than 2 percent of the distance of the support rollers of the belt on the inner side of the curve under full load.
