The aerial photography device has a position-stabilized carrier system for an aerial camera and analog devices, and a horizontally-stabilized carrier ring system with an outer universal ring (2) suspended in the base body of the device and an inner universal ring (1) that is concentrically arranged in the outer universal ring in universal suspension and is rotatable around a rotary axis (Y) arranged vertical to another rotary axis (X) of the outer universal ring for horizontal stabilization. The drive torque is directly transferred to the rotary axes of the outer and inner universal rings by the associated transmission unit. A base plate is provided with a lamellar or foamed structure made of a light metal or plastic.
