The door (1) e.g. front door (2), has an inner metal sheet (7) including an outer edge (11), and a grading part (16) running parallel to the outer edge. An outer skin (8) is connected with the metal sheet over a flanged connection part (9). An adhesive layer (14) bridges a distance (d) formed by the grading part between the outer skin and the metal sheet. The distance is large at a range of 2 mm to 7 mm preferably 4.5 mm up to 5.5 mm. The adhesive layer is formed from an adhesive, which comprises a glass transition temperature smaller than 120 degree Celsius preferably 115 degree Celsius. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a door for a motor car.
