The car has an openable or closable bonnet (1), a bonnet support (2) and a seal (3) that is arranged between the bonnet support and openable or closable bonnet. The seal is partially made of foam material and closed cellular, open celled, mixed cellular and/or integral foam substance and formed in water and/or airtight manner, where the seal includes a branching-free block-like outer contour. The seal is form-fittingly, force-fittingly and/or firmly fastened to the bonnet or bonnet support. The foam material is physical, chemical and/or mechanically foamed. The foam material is selected from one of thermoplastic foam material, elastomer foam material and/or duro-plastic foam material. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing a seal (2) a method for assembling a seal.
