The device has a depositing device (2) i.e. depositing pipe, tubularly designed, and rotatingly movable relative to a vertical longitudinal axis (1). A guide element (8) i.e. deflector, for a wire is movably arranged relative to the axis by radial moving components. The guide element is sectionally provided inclined to a vertical direction in an inclination angle, which lies in a range from 10 degrees to 30 degrees. The depositing device is driven with a larger rotational speed than the guide element. A depositing region for the wire is defined by an inner drum (5) and an outer drum (6).
