The device (1) has a swivel retainer (6) mounted around a pivotal axis (5) of a locking element i.e. downwardly operated hook (10), pivotable at a coupling body (4) that includes a coupling fork (7) with teeth for operating a coupling interlink. The locking element engages in a coupling position at the coupling body. The pivotal axis of the locking element is vertically aligned to longitudinal axes of the teeth, and the retainer encompasses an upper surface of the coupling body toward the pivotal axis. The retainer rests on the upper surface of the coupling body in a coupling state.
