The device (1) has an electrical energy storage (3) i.e. battery, connected with an onboard electrical system (2). A switching element (4) e.g. semiconductor switch, comprising a controllable and/or regulatable resistor (5) is arranged between the electrical energy storage and the electrical system. A control unit (6) controls and/regulates the resistor to adjust electrical resistance between the onboard electrical system and the energy storage during switching-on process and switching-off process. An independent claim is also included for a method for stabilizing voltage of an onboard electrical system of a motor car.
