The method involves securing interference structure (2) by performing laser welding process on a surface of a laser transmissive sensor tape (1). The interference structure is made of thermoplastic polyester elastomer. The laser beam is led to weld the interference structure on the sensor tape, by creating a weld seam. An independent claim is included for laser welding device.
