摘要

The method involves determining current states and/or configuration options of a vehicle (S1) using a communication link. The current states and/or the configuration options of the vehicle are displayed (S2) on a display device of an external terminal in two display modes that are different from each other. A visually perceptible connection i.e. connecting line, between two graphic elements of the two display modes is displayed (S3), where one of the modes corresponds to an actual control arrangement in the vehicle, and the other mode corresponds to an optimized mode for the terminal. The external terminal is designed as a smartphone, a tablet computer, a personal digital assistant (PDA) or a personal computer. The current states are selected from a group consisting of a position of switches, a charging state of batteries and current alignment of seat, mirror and a chassis. The configuration options are setting or adjustment options for switching-on or switching-off an equipment or a facility in and around a vehicle.
