The device (2) has a supporting frame (6) in which an electric appliance (1) is insertable. A connection unit (5) is attached at the frame and is connected with a connection unit of the electric appliance by insertion of the electric appliance into the frame. A support plate is provided with a recess for feedthrough of the former connection unit and a set of holding elements, which are connected a set of holding elements of the supporting frame to hold the support plate over the former connection unit in the frame in a predetermined raised position. The holding elements of the supporting frame are designed as engagement hooks, and the holding elements of the support plate are formed as detent apertures. The connection units are formed as electrical connection units and/or communication adapter units.
