The internal combustion engine (10) comprises an air intake port (16), compressors (20,26), exhaust gas turbochargers (22,28), and an exhaust gas duct (40). The turbine (42) of the exhaust gas turbocharger (22) is driven through the compressor (20). The turbine (46) of the exhaust gas turbocharger (28) is driven through the compressor (26). Both the turbines are connected in parallel with the exhaust gas duct, in terms of flow of exhaust gas. The turbine (42) is comprised of two fluidically separated exhaust gas flows (61,63).
