The structure (1) has front and rear roof bows (3, 5) formed as hybrid carriers and comprising center areas (7). The front and rear roof bows comprise end attachment regions (9) i.e. connecting flanges, which are connected to adjacent components of a body shell structure. A longitudinal reinforcement element (11) is connected with the front and rear roof bows and comprises a front region (13) and a rear attachment region (15). The front and rear roof bows are designed as a front cross bar (17) and a rear cross bar of a roof frame.
