The system has a carrier (5) connectable with a tongue, and a microphone array (10) for recording acoustic signals. A safety belt (4) is connected with a seat belt buckle (8) over the tongue, where the microphone array comprises two microphones (10a, 10b). A processing unit electronically processes signals detected by the microphones of the microphone array. An electrical interconnection is producible between the tongue and the carrier over the seat belt buckle. The carrier comprises a guide for the safety belt. The microphone array exhibits directional characteristics. An independent claim is also included for a motor car.
