The supporting arrangement has a strut element (26) through which a cockpit cross beam (10) is supported at a windshield cross beam (12) in vehicle longitudinal direction. The strut element is provided with a decoupling element (30), such that windshield cross beam deformed due to a front collision with small width coverage is decoupled. The decoupling element is provided with an actuator e.g. pyrotechnic actuator.
