The module has connectors (10, 20) displaceable with a solar cable (11). A side wall (8) includes a recess (9) for guiding and retaining one of the connectors. The connectors are displaceable within the recess and relative to the recess. The connectors are completely arranged within a U-shaped frame profile (6) outwardly defined by an opening cross-section of the recess. Each connector is displaceable back into the corresponding recess according to electrical connection of the connectors. A seal (12) is provided between one connector and an edge surface of the recess. The connector is formed as a coupler or a plug e.g. TYCO(RTM: Solar connector) or MULTICONTACT MC-4(RTM: Solar connector) solar plug or solar coupler. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling and connecting a solar module.
