The micro gas turbine device (60) has a combustion chamber (20), a compressor (16) and a turbine (18), where an exhaust gas-fresh air mixing unit (74) is arranged before the combustion chamber inlet (48) for mixing fresh air of an air inlet (30) with exhaust gas of an exhaust gas recirculation line (70) and for supplying the gas mixture in the combustion chamber. The combustion chamber outlet is connected with a turbine inlet (44). A turbine outlet (46) is indirectly connected with a compressor inlet (32) for compressing the exhaust gas. An exhaust gas branching unit (72) is arranged after the compressor outlet. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a micro gas turbine device.
