The printer (10) has a cleaning unit that is provided with a cleaning roller to clean residual liquid developer remained during development of charge image on a developer roller. A channel unit is arranged adjacent to cleaning and developer rollers, so that an outer flow channel is formed between cleaning roller and channel unit. The removed residual liquid developer is transported to developer roller by cleaning roller. The toner particles are exposed in outer flow channel, such that adhesion of toner particles at cleaning roller is loosened. The printer has printing elements (11a-11d,12a-12d) that are provided with a generation station to generate charge images of to-be-printed images on a charge image carrier. A developer station is provided with developer roller to ink the charge image on charge image carrier. Delivery systems are provided to apply a liquid developer to developer roller.
