The friction clutch mechanism (1) comprises a driving source which is rotatably and coaxially connected with a drive pulley (2) arranged in axial direction and rotatably connected to a load. An actuator (5) is arranged for moving a pressure disc (4), and a detection unit is arranged for detecting the displacement amount of disc in the axial direction or in a direction opposite to the movement direction of a drive plate (3). An error detection unit is arranged for determining the failure event caused by the actuator or a wear adjusting mechanism.
