Producing adhesively growing cell material on a film, which is permeable for nutrient and/or waste products, comprises: providing a stock of film present on a roll; unwinding the film from the roll and contacting a culture medium; transporting the unwound film during growth of cell material on top of the film and supplying the nutrient- and washing media to the bottom of the film; removing the cell material from the film after its growth-, multiplication- and maturation phases. An independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out the above mentioned method, having capillary action of absorbent roll on their surface, below the film line, which is in liquid contact with the film base and comprises the interior of open storage containers for at least one substance including culture medium, nutrients, minerals, inductors, antibiotics, washing liquid for the removal from waste products.
