A slip comprises a liquid medium, and doped zirconia solid particles having tetragonal and monoclinic modification, dispersed in the liquid medium. Doped zirconia solid particles have mean agglomerate size of 20-300 nm. The ratio of peak intensities between tetragonal and monoclinic modifications is 1.3-20. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) granules, which contain doped zirconia solid particles; (2) ceramics, which are formed using slip and/or granules. The ceramics contain structure containing mean grain size of less than 500 nm, and sintering density of more than 90%; (3) manufacture of slip; and (4) manufacture of black ceramics.
