The element has a coupling piston (7) including an outer front (9) with a slot (10), where a hook-like inwardly curved, flat end projection (11) engages in the slot as a region of an end piece (8) of a bending spring (17). The projection includes an engaging length (L) in the slot, where the length is larger than a maximum traveling distance of the piston in a radial borehole (6) during mounting the element in an internal combustion engine. A section (12) of the spring precedes the projection at the outer front, and adaptingly runs at the outer front as another region of the end piece.
