The compressor has a compressor stator in which a compressor wheel is rotatably arranged. A cooling device (7) cools fresh air and comprises a cooling jacket (8) through which a coolant flows for cooling a cooling wall (9) exposed to the fresh air. The cooling device comprises a cooling body (10) axially inserted into an inlet channel or an outlet channel (5). The cooling wall is formed at the cooling body. The cooling jacket comprises a hollow chamber (12) between the cooling wall of the cooling body and a channel wall (13) of the respective channels.
