The method involves outputting a digital control signal with a real part component and an imaginary part component to a radio frequency unit for generating a radio-frequency signal. A digital signal deviation value is received in a complex form, where the deviation value expresses a deviation of the radio-frequency signal from a request signal with respect to amplitude and a phase. The digital control signal is determined from the request signal under consideration of a signal offset value, where the real part component and the imaginary part component are separately determined. An independent claim is also included for a circuit device.
