The pane has an inner chamber provided between two glass pane parts (7, 8) and a spacer (11) arranged between the glass pane parts. A front surface rests at a side of one of the pane parts turned towards the inner chamber. Another front surface rests at a side of another pane part turned towards the inner chamber. A through hole extends through the pane parts, the inner chamber and the spacer. A groove is formed on the front surfaces of the spacer for retaining a sealant (13). The spacer exhibits a concave curved external periphery surface. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a fire protection composite pane.
