The blade (2) has a flattened body with length (L) of 5000 mm, width (b) of 300 to 500 mm and thickness of 0.5 to 1.5 mm, where the blade is made of heat treated, flexible thin glasses with bending tensile strength of greater than 120N/mm2. The blade is clamped into holding elements (5, 6) of a squeegee joist (7) at an end. The blade is turned towards an application medium to be equalized and/or proportioned and/or a substrate (4) at a free end. The blade is covered with a protective film so that unused surfaces are covered during a work process.
