Overflow valve for common-rail injection system utilized for injecting fuel into combustion chamber of internal combustion engine, has stroke stopping spring arranged in hole for attenuation and limitation of movement of valve element
The valve has a piston-shaped valve element (2) axially displaceable for connecting an inlet (3) with an outlet (4) against a spring force of a spring (6) that is axially received in a hole (1). A stroke stopping spring (7) is arranged in the hole for attenuation and limitation of a movement of the valve element. Rigidity of the stroke stopping spring is selected to be greater than the spring. The springs are coaxially arranged with respect to a longitudinal axis (A) of the valve element. The springs are designed as single-piece helical compression springs.
