The method involves identifying a projection camera angle for imaging techniques. Manipulated variables in drivers are ordered. An actual position of a radiator (ST1) and a detector (D1) of a tripod system i.e. C-arm (CB1), are approximately computed based the manipulated variables by using a simulation model. A dynamic resilient deviation of the tripod system is minimized by optimization of control quantities of a drive control of the tripod system by computation of an actual movement of the radiator and the detector based on a dynamic simulation model. An independent claim is also included for a tripod system.
