摘要

The method involves treating an image of a patient's body taken by an X-ray imaging device (1), and extracting information representative of a medical instrument i.e. catheter. A set of parameters e.g. electrical intensity, of emission of X-rays is adapted according to the information extracted from the image to minimize the dose of X-ray transmitted to the patient's body. The adaptation of emission of X-rays is performed as a function of thickness of the patient's body. Identification of a kind of medical intervention to be performed on the patient's body is determined from the image. An independent claim is also included for an X-ray imaging device.
