The device (24) has a centering element (26) screwed with an actuator housing (16) using an adjustment screw (28) of the device through an outer side (83) of a brake caliper (17) i.e. swimming saddle, of a disk brake (10) for adjusting an arrangement of a movable brake shoe (20) and a counter brake shoe (22) relative to a brake disk (12). The brake shoe is spring-loaded by preloaded centering springs (30a-30c) of the device at the centering element for centering the brake shoes relative to the brake disk. The counter brake shoe is connected with the brake caliper. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a powertrain for a combustion engine of a motor car (2) a method for centering a disk brake.
