The manifold (1) has a surge tank formed between a center part (12) and a base part (14), and a branch passage connected with the surge tank. The base part is formed as an individual resin part, and a curved pipe section is curved to form a part of the branch passage. The curved pipe section has a wall section formed on an inner peripheral side of the curved pipe section such that the wall section extends from a passage opening between the curved pipe section and the surge tank to the center part to form a side wall of the surge tank. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a resin intake manifold.
