Axially extending and radially inwards protruding centering ribs(9) are formed on the inner wall or inner face(8) of the tank section(5) accommodating the pipe end of the fuel filling nozzle and extend in the axial direction over this section. The inner face strips(12) located between two adjacent centering ribs each have an upper face section(13) which by means of a shoulder(14) inclined in the in-flow direction(11) change into a radially wider inner lying lower surface section(15).
