The method involves temporarily applying the additional torque to rotary cylinder for minimizing the vibration in sheet processing machine. A torsional effect is created between the pressure influencing sheet front edge and pressure influencing sheet trailing edge of cylinder. The additional torque is provided in the area of sheet trailing edge ??such that vibration of the cylinder is reduced. An independent claim is included for sheet processing machine.
