The heat exchanger (8) has two inlets (6, 7) for fluids (4, 5), and two outlets (9, 10), where the heat exchanger is divided into first, second and third sections (1, 2, 3). The fluids flow parallel to each other in the first and third sections, and the fluids flow opposite to each other in the second section. The inlets are arranged on a same side of the heat exchanger. A flow path (12) of the fluid runs from one of the inlets over connection channels that are formed between the sections along a flow direction, where the flow path runs opposite to the direction in the second section.
