The bar (101) has a base body (129) whose holding section (104) is brought in contact with two main surfaces during attachment of the bar on an edge of a tabletop. A spring element (108) i.e. laminated spring, is flexibly deformed during attachment of the bar such that a section of the spring element is in contact with one of the main surfaces. The spring element clamps the holding section against the tabletop by spring force for fixing the media bar at the tabletop. The spring element is adjusted to two different thicknesses for fixing the media bar at the tabletop.
