The linear position sensor arrangement (70,110) has a bidirectionally adjusted transmission component, a permanent magnet fixed to the transmission component and a linearly contactless permanent magnet-path sensor which is arranged in a perception relationship with the permanent magnet. The permanent magnet-path sensor has a pair of spaced apart magnetic field sensors and a metal element with high magnetic permeability. The metal element is arranged between the magnetic field sensors. A metal shield is manufactured from a nickel-iron alloy with high magnetic permeability.
