The method involves automatically displaying a vehicle (102) that moves forward or overtakes a motor car (101) on fast lane (103). The motor car is provided to overtake the preceding car on fast lane, if the motor car follows the vehicle (102) on fast lane using an adaptive cruise control system. The motor car is made with a recognizable overhauling intent over the preceding vehicle, if the vehicle (102) is changed to normal track (104). The preceding vehicle is driven longer than a preset time on fast lane, without having recognizable overhauling intent or avoidance intent. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a driver assistance system; and (2) a vehicle.
