The hydraulic radial piston engine (1) has cylinder piston units (14) and high pressure channels (30,40) arranged between cylinder piston units. The active controllable low and high pressure valves (20,18) are assigned to respective cylinder piston units. The actively controllable high-pressure valve of respective cylinder piston unit is arranged between the respective cylinder piston unit and a first high pressure channel. A passive high pressure valve is arranged between the high pressure channels in circumferential direction.
