The control system has electrical control unit (10) with monitor (18) to monitor whether computer (14) correctly calculates behavioral target value and nominal value of common sub-electrical control units (30,40,50). The sub-electrical control unit has conversion section that converts target value of sub-electrical control units without comparing physical quantity with value detected by sensor. The sub-electrical control unit has determination section to determine that control sections (34,44,54) correctly work based on comparison result between physical quantity and detected value. The electronic control unit calculates a target behavior-relevant value of the vehicle behavior. The sub-control units determine and outputs common electrical reference value to each sub-control electric unit. Each slave electric control unit controls an operating state of corresponding in-vehicle apparatus based on common reference value of slave electric control unit from master electric control unit. The sub-electrical control units have control section of in-vehicle apparatus to set operation state relative to common set point without need for verifying whether operational status of in-vehicle device is properly regulated.
