The lighting system has a control unit that is connected with an imaging unit (10) and light units (12,13). The light unit is adjusted by an actuator. The light units are operated to produce a light distribution with the bright-dark boundaries (20,21) to short HDGs, in the activated state. The adjustment of the light units is performed with the control unit by target/actual value comparison. A sensor unit (16) is provided to determine the driving dynamics data as input variables and transmit to the control unit. An independent claim is included for a method for adjusting light unit of lighting system.
