The system (110) has a clutch feed channel (112) comprising an inlet portion (124) to provide hydraulic fluid from a pressurized source to a clutch portion (126). An inlet valve i.e. ball check-valve, connects the inlet portion of the clutch feed channel to the clutch portion of the clutch feed channel. The inlet valve allows the hydraulic fluid to flow from the inlet portion to the clutch portion when the torque transmitting device (117) is engaged. The inlet valve traps the fluid within the torque transmitting device when the device is not actively pressurized through the inlet portion.
