A tongue of plugging (10) for a safety belt buckle includes a portion of the plugging (12) which is designed to be plugged into the loop of a belt, and a section of a safety belt (14) which has a slot for receiving the safety belt (5). The section of the safety belt (14) extends generally in the extension of the section of the plugging (12), and the slot extends at an angle (alpha) of less than 25 degrees with respect to a plane defined by the length of the plugging (12).
