The present invention relates to a method for monitoring, the prediction and reduction of the acoustic level of a plurality of sources (14) situated in a determined space comprising at least an emitting source of noise, in particular a ship, in liquid medium. The method comprises a step of modeling the acoustic propagation of said source in real time, this step consisting in: to obtain, from a data base, the data (114) relating to the instantaneous position of the emitting source of noise, read the data (116a) relating to the sound level radiated by said source, read the data (116b, 116c) relative to one or more parameters characterizing at least one interface delimiting the liquid medium corresponding to the determined space, to calculate the speed of sound in water at the basis of data oceanographic (118) of the determined space, to calculate the level of acoustic energy radiated from the position of the source (14) of the source of noise at any point in space and in real time, from the data previously received, and calculated.
